Re: Ghosts MP details from the reveal event

Here is a video of me sniping the "correct" way.  If this is not how I am supposed to play then this community(anti-quickscopers) really need to re-evaluate their opinions, because this is probably the most "legitimate" gameplay you will get for sniping these days, especially for a COD game.

You are basically hurting players like this with your ideas.  It all comes down to your view on the "correct" way to play the game and when you have rebels like quickscopers, you feel the need to put them down because they are different.  This has nothing to do with the game mechanics any more but to hurt the community that is rebelling.  You have no valid reason to change snipers because in COD they are quite balanced, even in previous games like MW2 and MW3.  I would bet that quickscoping is going to be quite balanced in Ghosts as well.

If this was a legitimate complaint about balance then where is the research on it for Ghosts?  The game isn't even out yet people are complaining about it.  It comes down to one part of the community hating on the other part of the community.  It is like when I get hated on for being better at the game when I go 50-5 with an AR by "camping" a wall or rock.  There are too many elitists that think that everything should be changed to benefit themselves.  I want things to be changed, but most of the things I want changed don't benefit me as much as others.  I don't see how it makes a difference if someone killed you in close quarters fully ADSing versus long range fully ADSing, they still killed you even if something isn't used the way you want them to use it.

I watched some of the video, and from what I seen (the first few mins), there wasn't much wrong with how you were sniping. You weren't out ballerina-ing around for montage clips. Putting down "quick-scopers" has nothing to do with them being different. For me, it's because they're woefully ineffective. This is the Average Quick-scoper that I encounter when I play:

I've shown this video before, but it's a prime example of exactly why QSing needs to go. There are other legitimate arguments, from a balance perspective. Allowing a sniper to be effective in a way that counters its balance is not right. That means that Sniper Rifles, to be properly balanced, should be ineffective up close, the same as a Shotgun is ineffective at range.

People are complaining about it now because they don't want to have to deal with it post-launch when the devs are working on DLC and other bugs and glitches and become "too busy" to address it. It's why Shotguns were never rebalanced properly except to further nerf them in MW3. By the time people wanted them fixed, it was too late. So much so that discussion of them was outright banned except in approved threads.

To me, this is about having the most balanced game possible, and a game largely based around skill rather than luck or abuse of mechanics. Its the same reason I'm against Drop Shotting, Head Glitching, Panic Knifing, and all those other things that people routinely do that exploit the game, including Quick-Scoping. You can't talk about balance and then defend obviously imbalanced things in the game, especially those that rely on an exploit.
