If Call of Duty: Black Ops III is created with the story including the return of Menendez, and he still has a drone army, maybe he attacked again but the effects of this put the world into a setting similar to Ghosts, destroyed cities, anarchy, poverty. Then for the Zombies idea, maybe instead of zombies have Drones that have different abilities, similar to Terminator 3: Rise of the machines e.g. Hunter Killer Carrier
